Lita Dirks founded Lita Dirks & Co. in 1995, bringing with her 20+ years of equal experience from her previously owned firm. She is a nationally awarded and recognized leader in the interior design industry with an extraordinary record of success.

Ms. Dirks is an educator and frequently invited speaker on university campuses, at conferences and at national home building trade shows. She is an approved instructor for course work offered by NAHB, NSMC and IRM and is a highly sought after specialist in the areas of design, target marketing, architectural review and active adult housing. Her professional observations and prose have been published in national trade publications as well as the mainstream press.

Lita has served on the NSMC and IRM Board of Trustees, the NAHB Design Committee, and NAHB 50+ Housing Council Board of Trustees. She has chaired numerous NSMC and IRM committees, including the National MIRM awards program. Lita was awarded the IRM Presidential Award two years running and honored by the NSMC as the recipient of the prestigious Bill Molster Award. Her professional affiliations include MIRM, NSMC, IIDA, SHMS and she is a Certified Active Adult Specialist in Housing.
